Before renewing Weston County’s property insurance Sept. 9 during the Weston County Commissioners meeting, county commissioners received several quotes from three different representatives and companies. After much discussion, the commissioners decided to move forward with renewing the county’s policy with ADI Insurance Agency out of Upton, instead of choosing a new company.
Chairman Bill Lambert, throughout the discussion, expressed dissatisfaction with ADI during the flood claim process last November, and made it clear he would not vote to renew with the company. Despite Lambert’s misgivings, the commissioners voted 3-1 to stay with ADI and the $59,171 bid presented by agent Karen Ackerman.
