For the last few years, students at Newcastle High School have taken advantage of the unique opportunity to not only graduate at the end of their senior year with a high school diploma, but also walk across the stage with an Associate’s Degree from Eastern Wyoming College in hand.
The program is not just for high school students, however, and while the Class of 2017 graduated a record five students from EWC with their Associates of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies— which is outstanding in and of itself— one of those five experienced a pretty rare moment when he received the college degree alongside his father.
